ARTIST BIO
Gregory Greenleaf has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and a Master of History degree from Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. Regarding photography, he is self-taught.

Greenleaf’s photography was first displayed at a student art show at Slippery Rock University in 1992. In 1996, his work was featured at a student show at Bloomsburg University. In 2011, he had a solo show at a coffee house in Avalon, PA (near Pittsburgh).

Returning to the area in 2015, Greenleaf won "Best-in-Show" from the Meadville Council of the Arts. In 2024, another photo of his was accepted into the Meadville Council on the Arts Member's Show.

As an editor of the ErieCulture.Guru website, Greenleaf’s photos are often featured with his published stories.

Greenleaf is interested in photographing the odd, offbeat, solitary, surreal, and the abandoned. Perhaps it's because he grew up in this area when Pennsylvania was beginning to be termed a "rustbelt" state that he saw an aesthetic beauty in what he chose to capture with his camera.
