Melinda Isachsen
Melinda Isachsen captures the ordinary in unexpected ways. Her subject matter can be so simple as dolls at a flea market or something more complex as big city life.
Melinda was born and raised in western Pennsylvania and later moved around the world living and working in eight different countries and traveling to many more. Photography became her means of recording everything around her. What she does so well is creating extensive photo series of a chosen subject and then working the images into various end products such as books, videos, and photo exhibits.
She has exhibited her work in such cities as Geneva, Tunis, and Rome. After 30 years abroad, she returned to Pennsylvania in 2015 and made Erie her home. Here, she is a member of the Erie Photography Club and the Photographic Arts Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
